A Day in the Life | Master 6

I am a little worried that these days will all look repetitive...after all, all 5 kids go to school.  They wake up in the morning, have breakfast, get dressed, do their teeth, catch the bus.  Then after school they play, do their homework, have dinner and go to bed!

But I guess, that is a day in their life, so I'm here to document it!

The trip to get the mail and a treat (read bribe) is not normal though - very rare indeed :-)

La Composicion | THE Piano Shoot

Wandering through the recycling centre I fell in love.
With this amazing old cream piano
I just knew I had to have it.
At this point I had no idea what I was going to do with it.
(I also messaged my husband something along these lines...'I MAY have just bought a piano that I need you to pick up for me'!!!!).

Then the creative process began.
I envisioned it in a field.
But wait...that was IT - no more ideas came to me.
For a while.

Then I saw an image of a pale pink Poppy & Rose skirt.
As much as I don't like pink I could see this delicious skirt in a neutral colour.
I began to picture my daughter and a beautiful friend wearing these tulle delights.
On my piano.
In a field.
From there it was a matter of finding a headpiece I adored and creating two stunning bouquets with a wonderful, local florist.

With only weeks until my vision became a reality we were visiting friends who live on a gorgeous property right by the river.
With a brief consult with the piano mover (that would be my husband!) it was deemed possible. I may have been a bit direct with this consult...something along the lines of 'you WILL make this happen, right?' ;-)

Not without complications on the day, it ended up being far more perfect than I could have ever imagined.
My dream became reality.

A Day in the Life | Miss 5

My most recent project.
To document a day in the life of each of my children.
From youngest to oldest.
Every second day.

Here is the baby :-)
Independence showing as she gets her own breakfast.
Must catch the school bus 'like the big kids'.
And not quite everyday life...but took Cuco for show and tell (which I found with a class of preppies is so cute!).
Then it's home again - time to play, shower & do homework before bed :-)

Cooking up a storm :-)

I said we were going to eat healthier.
The children complained.  'WHAT...no more packet cakes.  Or biscuits?'.
I have no issues with treats.
I just want to know what's going into them.
And my sweet 9 year old son has embraced cooking yummy things....scouring cookbooks for hours!
(And I pretend that cleaning up after him is fun (though I'm trying to teach him to clean up as he goes!!).

Here he is making passionfruit kisses :-)
